CeKATZ_WIAA9ax-The board and staff of Eurodiaconia are shocked and horrified by the events in the city of Brussels and at Brussels airport today (22 March). Our hearts and prayers go out to all those who have been affected, particularly the loved ones of those who have lost their lives and those who have suffered injuries. We also bring to mind the emergency services and political and public leaders who are working in this situation.
As a network based in Brussels, we are personally aware of the impact these acts will have on our city and across the country, as well as across Europe. However as in previous attacks in Europe and across the world, we continue to stand with all people, regardless of faith or origin, who work for solidarity, justice, inclusion, equality and peace. We must retain hope in all situations that there is a better way and that we all have a role to play in ensuring that these values and beliefs prevail.
Our secretariat is particularly grateful for all the messages of concern and support expressed. Such solidarity and support demonstrates that there is so much that unites us and can be the foundation for even greater work together.

Thank you
Heather Roy
