The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is organising a separate consultation on the Social Pillar in order to provide an Opinion which should complement the Commission’s consultation. The Social Platform, the network of European rights- and value-based civil society organisations working in the social sector we are part of, is leading the engagement of Civil Society. However the EESC is also organising national debates in the 28 member states: these are upon invitation, therefore we encourage our members willing to participate to contact the EESC administrators responsible for the correspondents national events.
Results of these national debates will be included in the opinion, to be adopted before the conference of the European Commission on the Social Pillar, on January 23rd.
