This summer, our Finnish member Helsingin Diakonissalaitos (Helsinki Deaconess Institute) will offer summer jobs in four different service areas for over 100 enthusiastic young people and students. They are looking for health and social care students over the age of 18 to participate in summer schools relating to themes on family services, and social protection. Participants will gain insight into these areas, and will also have the opportunity to discuss housing provision, substance abuse services and service for the elderly.
This call for summer jobs ties into the Helsinki Deaconess Institute’s involvement in the Responsible Summer Job 2017 campaign. The campaign, taking place across Finland aims to provide young people with summer school opportunities that follow the principles of meaningful experience, orientation and guidance, fairness and equity and fair pay.
