Yesterday, on 8th March, our member in Poland, Diakonia Polska (Diaconia Poland) announced opportunities for young people to participate in European Voluntary Service (EVS) projects in the UK. Diakonia Polska has established contact with project partners in various locations in the UK for projects lasting between 10 months and one year.
Volunteers between the ages of 17 and 30 can support projects in various centers providing social care: supporting people with disabilities, the homeless, addicts, children and adolescents. There are opportunities available across the UK, in London, Leeds and Edinburgh. In total there are seven projects including the London Centre for Homeless women, the Morley Community Church Trust, and the Oakham Centre for People with Disabilities.
Our Polish members are encouraging young people who are curious about experiencing something new, and helping those in need.
Applications must be submitted by the 15th April, and projects will begin in September 2017.
