In the framework of the EU-funding framework INTERREG two announcements for upcoming calls for proposals were recently published: 1) INTERREG Central Europe and 2) INTERREG North-West Europe. Interreg Europe helps regional and local governments across Europe to develop and deliver better policy. It offers opportunities for regional and local public authorities across Europe to share ideas and experience on public policy in practice, therefore improving strategies for their citizens and communities.
Both calls are aimed at supporting projects in Central Europe and North-West, also dealing with social issues.
INTERREG Central Europe seeks to support project ideas that help to improve capacities for urban & regional development in four priority areas: innovation & knowledge development, CO2 reduction, natural & cultural resources, and transport. For diaconal organisations the special objective 1.2 will be interesting: “To improve skills and entrepreneurial competences for advancing economic and social innovation in central European regions.” The co-financing rate is between 80% and 85%, a project consortium needs to consist of at least 3 partners. Please find all necessary information on the programme’s website.
The call will be published on 21 September 2017, deadline for applications is 25 January 2018.
INTERREG North-West Europe seeks to support project ideas that contribute to regional development in the programme area. Besides “Low Carbon” and “Resource and Material Efficiency” also “Social Innovation” is one of the key areas of the programme. IT specifically targets excluded population or population at risk for exclusion and communities under pressure. Actions should aim at supporting development, testing and implementation of innovative solutions for social needs and problems (‘social innovation’). The co-financing rate is at 60%, a project consortium needs to consist of at least 3 partners. Please find all necessary information on the programmes website.
The call will be published on 16 October 2017, deadline for applications is 17 November 2017.
