Early last month, our Armenian member WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation launched a new project for Syrian refugees in Armenia.
The project, launched in close cooperation with ART House training center and Aleppo NGO, is aimed at increasing vocational skills of refugees through standardised quality training courses.
Over this year, about 35 refugees resident in Armenia will be given the chance to attend hairdressing, make up, fashion design, and catering courses in order to build their self-reliance and increase their quality standards.
The projects will also include psycho-social support and wellbeing activities for refugees run by skilled priests at St. Zoravor Astsvatsats Church in Yerevan.
