Our Greek member Apostolì/MKO Αποστολή successfully continues its joint project on non-formal educational and psychosocial support for young refugees and migrants residing at the “Educational Centre APOSTOLI for the Refugees and Migrants” in Athens.
The project, run in cooperation with The United Society Partners in the Gospel (USPG), The International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), The Anglican Church in Greece, and The Interchurch Organization for Development Cooperation (ICCO) of the Protestant Church in The Netherlands, aims to boost the social integration of refugees and migrants +15 y.o. through different non-formal educational activities and psychological support.
The young refugees and migrants are also given the opportunity to learn Greek language and culture, in order to be prepared to take the National Examination for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek (Hellenomathia), which allows them to register for a Greek high school.
From July 2018 until February 2019, the “Educational Centre APOSTOLI for the Refugees and Migrants” will be funded by The United Society Partners in the Gospel (USPG), The International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), The Anglican Church in Greece, and The Interchurch Organization for Development Cooperation (ICCO) of the Protestant Church in Netherlands.
