The Waldensian Church of Italy (Union of Methodist and Waldensian Churches) has recently announced that applications to apply for funding under its 8×1000 (“otto per mille”) funds for 2020 will be open from the 2nd until the 31st of January next year.
Otto per Mille is the share equalling 8 ‰ = 0.8% from the annual income tax return taxpayers can choose to devolve to a religious denomination as provided by the Italian law. It exclusively funds social, healthcare, humanitarian and cultural projects both in Italy and abroad. The following organisations are eligible to apply:
- Organisations that are part of the Union of Methodist and Waldensian Churches
- Italian or international associations (Associations, Committees, NGOs and non-profit Organisations provided that the requested grant is used for charitable, humanitarian, cultural purposes and not for profit activities
- Italian and international ecumenical organisations
All the requesting bodies will have to register on the “Juno” platform to send a contribution request. Guidelines and instructions for using the Juno platform can be downloaded on the 8×1000 website. Applications can be presented both in Italian and English.
