ROMACT is a joint Programme of the European Commission and the Council of Europe aimed at improving the responsiveness and accountability of regional authorities towards Roma communities facing social exclusion. It focuses on implementing plans for vulnerable Roma citizens in cooperation with local authorities and provides them with support and counselling in submitting applications to obtain EU and national fund.
In order to strengthen the capacity of local authorities to design new plans and projects for Roma people, the Council of Europe is setting up both a facilitators and an experts team to work in the municipalities part of the ROMACT Programme in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Romani and Slovak Republic.
The Calls target persons from the countries above with expertise in the field of local governance and access to EU and national funding. The experts are also required to have experience in working in the field of social inclusion (preferably with Roma).
