Thinking concept
The European Commission (DG for Research, Science and Innovation) published the announcement of five upcoming calls for proposals under “Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme” to be published in autumn/winter of 2016. The five calls will be dealing with the following topics:
- Support of national or transnational projects on non-discrimination and Roma integration. Further information here
- Action grants to support National Roma platforms. Further information here
- Support dialogue and exchange of best practice in fostering tolerance and mutual respect. Further information here
- Support of capacity building on rights of the child and child protection for professionals in asylum and migration. Further information here
- Support of integrated and multidisciplinary child-centred approaches to child victims of violence. Further information here
Eurodiaconia will publish any further development on these calls as they come in.
The Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme 2014-2020 defends the rights and freedoms that people are entitled to under EU law. It aims to:
- promote non-discrimination
- combat racism, xenophobia, homophobia and other forms of intolerance
- promote gender equality and gender mainstreaming
- prevent violence against children, young people, women and other groups at risk
- promote the rights of the child
- ensure the protection of personal data in the EU
- promote EU citizenship rights
- enforce consumer rights
The budget for the programme is EUR 439.5 million over the period 2014-2020.
