Recently, the European Commission published a set of new calls for project proposals under “Rights, Equality & Citizenship” Programme (REC) for 2018.
Overall, the set of new calls includes a wide range of topic interesting for Eurodiaconia members such as:
– Capacity-building in the area of rights of the child
– Inclusion of EU mobile citizens
– Prevent and combat gender-based violence
– Inclusion of Roma
– Gender equality
– Racism, hate speech, xenophobia.
The following calls for proposals are already open to applications: “Improve the inclusion of mobile EU citizens and their political and societal participation and to support and enhance the democratic participation of mobile EU citizens” (deadline 26 April), “Capacity-building in the area of rights of the child – putting in place robust national or regional integrated mechanisms to support children ageing out of/leaving alternative care” (deadline 31 May), “address equal participation of women and men in leadership positions / support public authorities and civil society in relation with the ‘New Start to Support Work-Life Balance for Parents and Carers’ initiative (deadline 19 June), “Prevent and combat gender-based violence and violence against children” (deadline 13 November). Five other calls for proposals are forthcoming.
The application deadlines range from April to November. Please find detailed information on each of the topics and about the eligibility criteria on the calls website.
