Connecting faith and social justice through action

Extreme Poverty

Poverty remains a persistent and pressing challenge across Europe. Eurodiaconia’s members are actively engaged in supporting individuals and communities experiencing (extreme) poverty, including people experiencing homelessness, families in need, and children in vulnerable situations. Access to essential services, material deprivation, and social exclusion still affect too many people in Europe, especially disadvantaged and marginalised groups. Combating poverty is therefore a key priority in our advocacy and policy work. Building on the efforts of our members and our participation in diverse alliances – such as the Alliance for Investing in Children or the European Platform on Combatting Homelessness – we are committed to ensuring the implementation of targeted and sustainable solutions to effectively reduce poverty across Europe.
