Last week, the newly established fund “Civitates” published its first call for proposals, focused on encouraging civil society organisations to strengthen their advocacy capacities.
The call is opened to EU member states and EFTA countries and is aimed at the creation or reinforcement of existing national coalitions to address issues related to the shrinking space for civil society. The applications deadline is set for 15th June 2018. After that, resources will be provided to the initial partners to reach out to potential new partners from different sectors to reinforce their coalition and actions to address the shrinking space for civil society will be implemented.
Applications must be processed through the specific portal. To know more about this funding opportunity, please read the Civitates call.
The fund “Civitates – A Philanthropic Initiative for Democracy and Solidarity in Europe” aims to strengthen civil society by empowering its actors to respond collectively and more effectively to challenges related to the shrinking space in their country.
