Earlier this week, a call for proposals funded by the Open Society Fund Prague, the Committee of Good Will – Olga Havel Foundation and on behalf of the consortium of the Active Citizens Fund has been published to strengthen the role of civil society organisations, that may benefit from €100 to €250,000.
The grants aim to enhance civil society’s role in promoting sustainable, systemic change in the areas of active citizenship, human rights, social justice and gender equality.
Successful projects will last 3 to 4 years and would achieve one of the following outcomes:
- Strengthening civil society’s advocacy and watchdog role
- Empowering vulnerable groups, including refugees and migrants
- Increasing support for civic education and media literacy
Eligible applicants include Czech non-governmental organisations that are officially registered at least two years prior to the submission deadline of the application.
The deadline for the application submission is 4 November 2019.
