The Diakonie V Zápolí special school in Prague’s Michla has been here for 30 years for children with combined disabilities or autism. It also accepts pupils who state schools reject due to the extent and severity of their disabilities. There are often no places in schools for children with severe disabilities, and parents have to stay home with their children or commute for hours.

That is why our member  Diakonie ČCE is planning an extensive reconstruction of the special school in Zápolí. Thanks to it, new classes for children with autism will be created, and the school’s capacity will increase from 48 pupils to 80.

However, they still lack the amount of 2 million crowns in the reconstruction budget. Individuals, companies, institutions, and foundations support a better and bigger school for children with disabilities.
