Our partner the International Academy for Diaconia and Social Action – Central and Eastern Europe (Inter Diac) is organising a seminar on “Advocacy and Campaigning as part of Diaconal Work” on the 20th June 2018 in Český Těšín (Czech Republic).
The seminar will consider the development of advocacy as part of the work of Diaconia, NGO and civil society organizations, locally and nationally, with a key-focus on poverty and social exclusion. In particular, it will focus on:
- creating successful approaches to advocacy with and on behalf of specific groups and related to specific issues
- building a campaign to change policy or practice locally or nationally with other stakeholders as appropriate.
- creating and sustaining networks of active people and organisations to work long term on specific issues, especially concerning churches and diaconal organisations working with civil society.
The group of Programme Leaders will also include the Deputy Director of our member Diakonie Austria Mr Martin Schenk.
The deadline for applications in on 28 May 2018. Applicants will have to send a short motivation letter to administration@interdiac.eu.
