The European Union has set up a new fund, the Fund for European Aid for the Most Deprived (FEAD). It replaces the former EU food aid programme (the European food aid programme for the most deprived persons – PEAD), which has been running since 1987, relying on Common Agricultural Policy funds.
The European Union food aid program (FEAD) has now reached the final stage of preparation as the last countries have had their operational programmes adopted last week on 26th February 2015. To see how each country will use the FEAD, please look at the European Commission description here.
