Recently, our network launched its first Access to Employment Network Meeting, which will take place on 6-7th November in Stockholm (Sweden).
Hosted by our member Stockholm City Mission, the network meeting will look at key angles of work and social inclusion, including the role of social enterprises as spaces for work inclusion, partnerships with employers to enable increased integration of “low employability” groups through adapted work settings. Special focus will be placed on strategies towards the labour market integration of third-country nationals. In addition to sharing experience and challenges in this area, the meeting will contribute to a Eurodiaconia position and feedback into relevant initiatives on the topic.
Eurodiaconia’s newly created thematic network on Access to Employment aims to establish a permanent channel of communication with and between Eurodiaconia members and step up our role as a key civil society organization on employment issues. It should provide a forum for members to share experiences and good practice, identify common challenges they face as well as discuss potential solutions and opportunities for policy development.
