As actively involved in the debate around long-term unemployment, Eurodiaconia has produced an answer to the consultation on the integration of long-term unemployed into the labor market. The consultation aims at assessing the implementation of the measures included in the Recommendation adopted by the Council of the European Union in 2016 (subsequently, Eurodiaconia published its views on the Recommendation). The inputs gathered will feed the European Commission’s report on the actions taken by the Member States and help to shed light on future possible actions to support the long-term unemployed.

Eurodiaconia members are engaged in the provision of work integration and related social services for unemployed persons. To respond to an increasing focus on promoting access to employment for all and to share the experience and knowledge of its members, Eurodiaconia is launching a new thematic network meeting on Access to Employment. The first meeting will take place on the 6th-7th November 2018 in Stockholm, hosted by the Stockholm City Mission. More information on the meeting can be found here.
