The European Platform for Investing in Children (EPIC) is a European Commission website facilitating exchange of information on policies and practices relating to children and families policies. It is an evidence-based online platform that provides information about policies that can help children and their families face the challenges that exist in the current economic climate in Europe.
EPIC recently released new country profiles to provide an up to date overview of current policies for children and their families for each European Union Member State. These profiles include a wide range of information by country, including national socio-economic developments and challenges for children and their families and respective policy responses as well as examples of policy and practice innovations, Eurostat data, Country reports by the EU Network of Independent Experts on Social Inclusion, etc. They are structured along the three policy pillars of the European Commission Recommendation from February 2013 ‘Investing in Children: breaking the cycle of disadvantage’
