From February to June 2017, our partner Interdiac-International Academy for Diaconia and Social Action Central and Eastern Europe-will hold the One semester professional course in social, community, and diaconal work in Český Těšín, Czech Republic.
The course is addressed to people working or volunteering in the social, community or youth field, and most generally to people interested in working in inclusive and diverse workplaces. It provides in-depth coverage of the participatory working methods and skills for social work, as well as the ethical and theological basis of the diaconal work.
The course is recognised as having 30 ECTS, and students will be registered with the Diaconia University of Applied Sciences (Diak) – the largest University for social and youth work, diaconia and nursing in Finland. Diak will provide a transcript of records of the study, according to the ECTS system, so the student who completes the course will receive a diploma from interdiac with the recognition of Diak.
Interdiac is a dynamic new Academy which supports diaconia and social action in Central and Eastern Europe, including the independent states and Russia.
The deadline to submit the application is on the 16th September 2016.
