Cardijn, an Austrian-based association involved in local and international ecumenical learning activities, organises along with local partners the international seminar: Innovative Learning For Community Based Action – CABLE Approach.
Cable is a network of organisations involved in training and learning for Christian social practices. Over the years it has developed a training model based on a biography-based learning process known as ‘exposure’ to work on the development of a clarified and renewed approach to work in context.
The CABLE approach has been used to train new workers in the field, in degree programmes and in in-service training. It has been applied in both ‘community’ and ‘institutional’ settings. The innovative Approach has also been used with members of community groups, local congregations and with service users in localities and in service organisations.
The seminar is aimed at sharing experiences of learning programmes which have used participatory and community based methods, developing new programmes which can be used with different groups of people and focusing on the theology & spirituality that underlies‘ exposure based learning and related service models.
The seminar and workshop will take place on the 8th-9th of March and will be accessible in English and German.
