In the first half of 2016, the European Commission is organising various media seminars across eight EU Member States in an attempt to end ongoing discrimination against Roma. Bringing together journalists, local authorities and Roma community representatives, the seminars aim to promote mutual learning, awareness of positive role models, and closer cooperation between different stakeholders. Seminars will take place in Romania, Hungary, Italy, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Germany and France. Interpretation will be provided in English and the respective local language. Places are limited to 15 journalists per seminar.
