Our partner Eurochild, along with SOS Children’s Villages, recently published its new report on the integration of refugees and migrant children in Europe titled: “Let Children be Children: Lessons from the Field on the Protection and Integration of Refugee and Migrant Children in Europe.”
The report is aimed at acting as a resource to support practitioners and national and EU level advocacy by offering 16 inspiring practices showcasing how the child protection services are responding to the needs of refugee and migrant children in Europe. The 16 case studies feature solutions and promising examples from Austria, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden, The Netherlands and United Kingdom.
Last month, Eurodiaconia, along with other NGOs who make up the EU Alliance for Investing in Children, co-signed a statement to end child poverty through investing in children in EU post 2020 financial framework. The statement is entitled, ‘The Post-2020 MFF Must Invest In Children And Aim To End Child Poverty’. More than 20 organisations within the EU Alliance for Investing in Children urge the EU institutions and its Member States to invest in children and develop a future MFF that works to end child poverty and promotes the social inclusion of all children in Europe.
