Mental Health from the perspective of European Churches and Diaconal Organisations report
Mental Health: Addressing Challenges through Better Services and Inclusion report
We see that there is currently a lack of an EU-wide action plan on mental health. The effects of pandemic restrictions, the war in Ukraine and the rising cost of living have contributed to a greater risk of depression and anxiety among EU citizens. Mental health needs to be integrated into existing EU structures and funds but it remains often taboo. We want to open up this space by sharing our member’s work as well as best practices.

Eurodiaconia proudly supports the European Mental Health Week!
Mental Health Europe (MHE) is hosting the fourth edition of this impactful event, aimed at increasing understanding and awareness of mental health. Join us as we celebrate mentally healthy communities and address the social determinants that impact individuals facing mental health challenges.
Mental health is not only a fundamental human right but also essential for personal, community, and socio-economic development. Together, we can combat stigma, discrimination, and promote help-seeking, contributing to a global movement for positive change.
During this week, we want to highlight the incredible work our members are doing to make mental health inclusion a reality for all. Stay tuned to our social media channels for updates and inspiring stories during the European Mental Health Week.
Let’s unite, build caring communities, and prioritize mental health for everyone!
