Recently, the European Commission has published the first call for proposals for the new initiative of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). The call is aimed at funding volunteering activities, traineeships and jobs in solidarity sectors, as well as solidarity projects, all involving young people aged 17 to 30.
Any public or private organisations established in the EU Member States may apply for funding. Moreover, groups of young people registered in the ESC Portal may apply for solidarity project funding.
Jobs and traineeships, as well as solidarity projects, are open to participants residing in the EU Member States. Furthermore, volunteering activities are open to young people residing also in the following Partner Countries:
- Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway;
- Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia;
- Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine;
- former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey;
- Russian Federation.
The call deadline for traineeships and jobs is set for 16 October 2018. Before applying for funding, all organisations need to request an ESC Quality Label to their country’s ESC National Agency.
