Eurodiaconia is pleased to invite you to a two-day seminar to discuss challenges and options to bring social inclusion to young people with special emphasis on social entrepreneurship options. The conference will take place from 14-15 November 2016 at Universidad Carlos II- Campus de Madrid, Spain. The event will be hosted by our two member organisations in Spain, Diaconia Spain and the Spanish Evangelical Church.
Aim of the meeting
The Eurodiaconia Secretariat aims to help our members bring social inclusion through quality social services to a diverse and growing number of users’ groups. One of the key target groups are young people, especially in light of the devastating effects of the economic crisis on the future prospects of younger generations in Europe.
The aim of the event is a double: On one hand, it aims to build Eurodiaconia members’ capacity on current challenges young people are facing in different regional contexts in Europe and how social entrepreneurship can empower youth to face these challenges successfully. On the other hand, it wants to invite Eurodiaconia members to exchange best practices and share innovative approaches as regards their daily youth work with social enterprises and social entrepreneurship. Also, there will be a study visit in the surroundings of Madrid.
Who can take part?
The meeting is open to all those working in Diaconia who are part of a network that is a member of Eurodiaconia. People who are likely to find it most interesting would be those working on or close to young people and social inclusion services for young people; as well as dealing social enterprise at local, regional and national levels.
