The European Commission DG for Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion has issued the spring issue of its Quarterly Review on the Employment and Social situation in the EU, which is free to download from the EC website, together with its annex file.
It assesses the general state of the labour market in Europe, gradually improving but the recovery is still weak, moreover permanent and full time jobs continue to increase, but at a slower pace than in 2014. Long-term and more recently very-long term unemployment declines but remains high.
Additional thematic readings are available in the “Evidence in focus” webpage, which puts the spotlight on key findings from past and on-going research and offer an opportunity to easily access information on various social and employment developments in the EU.
