Last week, the European Commission (EC) has launched its new Funding & Tender Opportunities Portal. This portal is intended to replace the current Participant Portal by the end of the year and become the single-entry point for finding and managing EU grants and procurement contracts.
The new portal is developed to be the Single Electronic Data Interchange Area (SEDIA) for applicants, contractors and experts in funding programmes and procurements managed by the EC. It is aimed at covering all the centrally managed programmes by the start of the next Multiannual Financial Framework in 2021.
The new portal includes all functions currently available on the Participant Portal, with a new layout and graphic design, as well as an implemented keyword search function including new features and a search behaviour tool. The new structure reflects the Portal multi-programme coverage as well as the integration with calls for tenders.
