Our new member Associação Baptista Shalom in cooperation with the European Solidarity Corps, is looking for 4 long term volunteers to participate in their “What do EU Speak?” project.
This project aims to provide international volunteers with the opportunity to support language teachers in the kindergarten of the Associação Baptista Shalom, “Voar Mais Alto”. The participants are expected to help implement English, German and Spanish lessons for children aged 3 to 6, aid the teachers in their daily tasks, and develop new creative activities.
The volunteers will be accommodated in the city centre of Setubal, Portugal. The Association will provide two separate furnished bedrooms, one shared bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The volunteers are also granted a total monthly stipend of 310€ as well as lunch on working days.
They will have the opportunity to take Portuguese language lessons and will be encouraged to participate in events, training and initiatives specially prepared by the Youth Department in the Setúbal City Council and the Association.
Finally, the participants would ideally have a solid pedagogic profile, preferably with some experience organizing free-time and leisure activities in Youth Associations or NGOs. However, the most important is their passion for working with children and willingness to share their music, theatre, and sports talents with them!
Register on the European Youth Portal and Apply.
